July Favs ^_^

Since July is well over I thought i'd put up a couple of my recent favs :D, i'll try to do this more often since I have at least one a month.

I have been using these products long enough to give them my stamp of approval and wanted to share them with you all!

First i'll start off with Blistex Lip Vibrance:

I really liked this lip balm, i'm not huge on lip gloss so I try to get a nice lip balm for day to day activities. I picked this one because of the sheer tint and spf factor and it was only $3. It smells like cherry and has a fine glitter, but not gritty at all like other balms that contain them. Also, the tube has a mirror on the top of the balm, awesome (=

Freeman's Feeling Beautiful Pineapple Enzyme Facial Mask:

I got this mask along with others when  Freeman was having an awesome sale, this is one of my fav's out of the bunch. At the moment it retails for $4-5. It has pineapple extract and AHA's that leave your skin radiant and soft. I love this every couple of days to help me even out, works great for post acne scars.Great ingredients, actual results, low price!

Dermablend Cover Creme:

This was a birthday gift, I had always wanted to try it but it was a bit out of my price range since I typically am used to bb creams. It retails for around $38 and is SPF 30. I was confused by the size at first but already knew of how amazing the brand is. I haven't even put a dent in this stuff! The coverage is great and I recommend it for post acne scar coverage. If you have oily skin, like I, use a powder after or mattifying primer. It works great but definitely make sure you wash your face well afterwords. 

Last, but definitely not least...

Shea Moisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil Grow & Restore Leave in Conditioner:

Well..*Takes Breath* this leave in right here...this leave in...is my L.I.C holy grail! It retails for $11, I do hauls of Shea Moisture products when they are BOGO and i'm usually fine until the next one occurs. This is my favorite leave in conditioner since I've been natural. It works so well with moisturizing and the slip is over 9000! I use it on soaking wet hair and its just..its love in a tub. The only negative is the scent, but its light and goes away. I also have the mask and will do a solo review on that item, if not it'll end up in my August fav list im sure!

Adeline Hyaluronic Acid Serum Review

Hey hunnibees!
I recently got to review a new skin product from a company called Adeline.
As a person with oily skin I always try to look for gel or gel like type moisturizers. This serum having a gel like consistency worked awesome. I'm usually somewhat wary of using new products that aren't specifically catered around acne prone skin/oily skin, but this is great for sensitive skin in general.

Depending on the dryness of your skin you can either use this alone, underneath an oil like jojoba, or underneath your favorite moisturizer.This product separates it self from the typical HA serum by having other great ingredients such as witch hazel (something I already use to tone my skin<3), vitamin a, vitamin e, etc.

This product also doesn't have that weird, tacky feeling some serums do...like leaving a weird film on your skin..know what I mean? I love that you can actually see how much product you have left and use it because of the push up design. Using this product I noticed a slightly brighter complexion anddddd it didn't make me breakout. Also great customer service from Adeline. That's a win- win for me!(=

How to Dye Synthetic Hair Series: Mermaid Hair

Hey guys,
I just wanted to make a post about a hairstyle I did a couple weeks ago.
I took some pics during the process so thought I would share them with you guys.
This process is pretty easy but definitely messy. Dying the hair outside with the addition of a mannequin head would be a better idea for next time and for your ventures if you try!
The first time I did this I wanted it to be bold so I decided on mermaid ombre hair,

What you'll need?
Blonde wig
Rubbing Alcohol *avoid anything above 70%*
Alcohol Ink
Spray bottle
Gloves
Hair clips
Comb
Something to protect your work area
*mannequin head if possible*

Sadly I didn't get many pictures of the process but its pretty self explanatory.
I bought two colors- a dark blue and an emerald green color.
First off, mix the alcohol and alcohol ink to your liking, mix up in bottle and test on hair to see if its to your liking. I tried to get a bold color since I knew it would fade.
Take out your first section of hair and spray the green color on it.

So I do the bottom layer completely green and cover it with plastic. I then mix the green and the blue which results in a nice teal color and spray that on the middle section covering it up as well. I then spray the dark blue on the top and spray some of the blue/green on the tips. 

After this I blow dried the hair and once dry, rinsed it. The final result was a bright, bold, blue to green ombre. 

You have to be careful with this style I advise to only do this to a wig because the color transfers through touch and rubbing! This is best for sunny days or fall, no rain and darker clothes. This is the fade that happened.

Lastly, this is a great option for cheaper, more realistic cosplay wigs!

This style, depending on your use lasts up to 3 weeks and costs under $50 to achieve. Why not?

Twist and Curl Tutorial

Hey hunnibees,
I haven't done a hair post in awhile so I think one is fairly due.
I've been rocking my hair like this lately since I don't like messing with it a lot and have done it two different ways. (wet and stretched by heatless blowdry)
The first time I tried this style I did it wet and these were my results:

It came out okay, but for the wet hair and this style I prefer using Shea moisture curl and style milk and melted shea butter for better results instead of moisturizer and wrap lotion.

Sadly, two days after I got caught in the rain and had to rock it in a puff/bang. Thankfully this style looks great as an updo (=

The other way I do this style is with pre-stretching my hair a bit with a heatless blowdry (note: recently put another purple rinse in my hair so yayyy no more tri color hair lol)

 

It came out great and lasts longer when its stretched ,which keeps my hands out of my hair (this is always a good thing). My edges have thickened up within the time that I've had this hairstyle since I haven't been messing with it!)

Dr Song 50% Lactic Acid Face Peel Review

Hey hunnibees! I've been busy with finals lately and wanted to try this product out for awhile so I could see longer term effects to report to you all (=

 "Dr Song Medical is a medical cosmetic laboratory that originally manufactured natural based products for professionals, doctors, and medical facilities. Dr Song Medical products are made in the USA and is FDA compliant and a provider of professional products that focus on natural ingredients".

 They have a collection of different facial care items including serums, oils, and peels. The one I chose to try was the Lactic Acid peel because its a great intro peel, more gentle than the other selections.
During my first session I was surprised by how quickly my skin tingled, I can't imagine how the other peels feel- I highly recommend this for beginners.

This helped me achieve more even skin and is helping fade dark spots.
I use this weekly now instead of the 4 weeks at a time since I have oily skin. If you have dry and or sensitive skin id advise their recommended 4 weeks at a time until you see how your own skin reacts to the peel.

Pros-
Glowy skin
Helps fade discoloration
Makes skin smoother- easier makeup application (=

I am looking forward to trying more peels from the company, especially their salicylic acid peel since I have acne.
I will do an update on this with before and after pictures when I finish the whole bottle, but my dark marks are definitely fading ^__^

InstaNatural Stretch Mark and Scar Cream Review

I have become a huge fan of Instanatural because of their amazing ingredients and so happy I can review their products. I received their Stretch Mark and Scar Cream (For Prevention and Reduction) which I was excited to try.

I do sadly suffer from stretch marks so lately I've been trying to up my water intake but this came as a great addition. The more you moisturize your skin, the more elastic your skin is. I.E moisturized, hydrated skin= less wrinkles, stretch marks, scarring etc. This has been doing just that for me lately! My skin is super supple because it is being drenched with a list of amazing oils (I kind of want to try this in my hair-lol)

InstaNatural Vitamin C Facial Toner Review

Hey Hunnibees! I have another Instanatural review(and will have more oncoming- their stuff is awesome!) This is on their vitamin c facial toner.

 

First off, I must say I really like their new design <3. Anyways onto the product.

I have oily skin so I tend to use toners and astringents like witch hazel and seabreeze. Seabreeze can sometimes be overdrying depending on the day and this is great for when you want calm skin that is clean but not overly clean( if that makes any sense.) When you remove all of the natural oils on your face it actually causes overproduction of sebum which just makes you into even more of an oil slick- ugh! 

This product was great for an in between product and very refreshing. The smell was citrusy but something you'll slowly get used to .Instanatural never seems to fail with their ingredients. I found it cool that the toner had oils as well to balance your face without overstripping. I experienced softer skin and love that I can use it on more sensitive areas like around my eyes.
